Austen Seeberg is a young aspiring 3D artist who seems to always be up to something. We first met during college while taking our prerequisites were we became as thick as thieves quite quickly and the rest is better left as history. But, of course, with entering the industry and constantly applying to jobs becoming the new norm, a new set of challenges arose and I held a possible solution to at least one of Austen's. We all know the struggle of standing out among the crowd so when Austen asked me to help him establish his own identity I was eager to get started.
Starting out, neither of us really had a specific direct we thought we should go in so I had him create a Pinterest board of concepts he liked so that we'd have somewhere to start. With the board in hand, I began sketching every idea that came to mind for a logo mark that aligned with the board and as well who Austen is as a 3D artist. About 150 sketches later we were still stuck at the starting line. Fortunately, at the time, I was working on my own logo and decided to show him those sketches and among those we hit the mark that lead to the identity that follows.
